My name is Drew Sato, I am a young woman who loves to go on adventures and finds great joy in showing those around me how much I love and appreciate them. I am attending college at Western Washington University, working towards a BA in Human Services with the intention of helping those in my community. I recently moved out of my parent’s home, and am living independently with a roommate. When I was born, a medical mistake occurred, my brain was without oxygen for over 10 minutes which resulted in a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. This affects my limbs and my speech severely. I employ a power chair for mobility and utilize AAC technology to assist in communication. I use the ASL's Fusion Head Array to access my power chair and my phone through Bluetooth. Without this technology, my dream of an independent lifestyle would look much different from the possibilities I have achieved with these components. Thank you for your time!
