  • What are the times for the class?

    Class is from 9-5 both days with a working lunch

  • What airport do we fly into?

    We recommend flying into Austin Bergstrom International Airport. It will take you about an hour and a half to get to ASL from the airport.

  • Will I need a car?

    Yes, ASL is located in a small town about an hour from Austin.

  • Do you offer CEUs?

    Adaptive Switch Laboratories, Inc. is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU. A certificate will be mailed to you within 30 days of successful completion of the course. Class records will only be issued to participants.

  • What should I expect at the class?

    Day one of the class is lecture and case studies. Day two is split between lectures and hands on. Class participants will be asked to construct and set up alternative access drive control systems on all major manufactures power wheelchairs. Computer access will also be addressed.

  • What should I expect with the exam at the end of class?

    At the end of day 2 a written exam will be administered to participants and feedback will be provided before class ends. Upon successful completion of the course a certificate will be mailed with 30 days.

  • Will lunch be provided?

    Yes, ASL will provide lunch at both days of class. If you have dietary needs, please call so you needs can be accommodated.

  • How do I receive a record of my class participation?

    All records of class participation will be updated and available within 30 business days of class and will be available for 7 years. Participants can obtain their records by requesting them in writing, over the phone or by email. Records will only be released directly to the participant unless a signed web release form is received from the participant which can be requested in writing, over the phone or by email.
